Shelley Simkins is VP of Operational Excellence with Workforce Insight, where she helps many of the nation’s leading hospitals and healthcare organizations optimize performance while supporting goals for patient care, quality, employee engagement, and financial sustainability.

Shelley specializes in process improvement, helping clients establish governance models to improve workforce management performance and leveraging Six Sigma methodology to improve operational efficiencies and drive financial results. Shelley brings deep experience in developing meaningful analytical models and frameworks that engage leaders at all levels, enabling data driven cultures that promote sustained operational excellence.

Previously, Shelley held numerous strategic leadership roles, including serving as national RN Consultant of Labor and Productivity. As a nurse leader with 20 years of inpatient and outpatient experience, Shelley is routinely invited to lead workshops and roundtable discussions with healthcare leaders across the nation, with focus on operational excellence, staffing model optimization and workforce transformation.
