Job Description:

Full time contract job in Denver, CO, the project is a web-based requirements gathering and survey platform that helps our consultants manage data for Fortune 500 companies. The Senior Developer will be the sole developer responsible for the end-to-end functioning of this critical platform that is a key driver of new opportunities for our business.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement web app(s) using ASP.NET MVC 3
  • Design and implement SQL Server Reporting Service reports
  • Handle change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions
  • Analyze business requirements and transform them into technical design
  • Implement the design to develop and test the functional requirements
  • Source code maintenance
  • Administer development and production environments. This includes websites and databases
  • Proactively provide ideas and solutions towards the improvement of the platform
  • Interact with the product management team to understand the business requirements
  • Provide effort estimates and prioritize tasks
  • Provide timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
  • Assess risk and impact on the existing system that may arise due to any requirement or functional change

Experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experience
  • 5+years experience as a .NET developer using C#
  • Experience in programming in ..NET 4.0
  • Strong experience in an MVC framework such as ASP.NET MVC or other similar offerings
  • Experience using Entity Framework, especially EF 4+
  • Strong SQL Server 2008/2008 R2 and experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge
  • Good understanding of HTTP
  • Experience using jQuery
  • Application deployment on Microsoft IIS 6 and 7
  • Amazon EC2 cloud experience

Due to the nature of the project, you will work in an environment requiring small and frequent functional releases.
