Workforce Management Jobs | Solution Architect - Workforce Insight

The Solution Architect oversees, coordinates and participates in all phases of the scoping and workforce management implementation processes. Solution Architects work collaboratively with the Workforce Management Strategists, Project Managers, Workforce Management Consultants and Managing Partners to provide expert guidance in vendor selection, assessment, design, development, and testing of the proposed workforce management solution, based on the client’s business requirements, objectives, and key business drivers. The Solution Architect will ultimately be responsible for the overall configuration and functionality of the workforce management solution.

Senior Director, Professional Services

Required Skills and Background:

  • Providing high level application guidance to organizations and project teams throughout the process of implementing a Workforce Management strategy
  • Ensuring that the solution conforms to industry best practice standards as well as to Workforce Insight’s internal guidelines
  • Translating client strategic business goals into functional and technical specifications and supporting these goals throughout the Workforce Management Implementation
  • Encouraging adoption of both internal WFI and client standards through effective communication and education
  • Understanding, evaluating, and communicating project requirements that may require deviation from traditional WFI project standards
  • Facilitating the effective documentation of the workforce management solution for duration of the project
  • Working with clients and third-party software vendor staff to set up appropriate infrastructure in which to install workforce management applications
  • Using advanced technical skills and performing systems integration between other complex technologies
  • Helping clients to gather business requirements through interviews and studies as well as reengineer their business processes
  • Ensuring that all Workforce Insight team members understand client expectations and also providing constructive feedback to the team to help them grow professionally
  • Working diligently to ensure that every Workforce Insight client becomes a reference
  • Maintaining technical expertise on leading third-party software applications
  • Perform Quality Code Reviews with project teams on all client solutions to ensure quality coding constructs as an essential part of the WFI methodology
  • Managing and mentoring junior consultants as related to project and organizational requirements including:
    • Mentoring junior personnel on best practice/implementation standards
    • Reviewing direct reports’ utilization, approving time and expenses, and ensuring adherence to WFI’s internal policies
    • Delivery and creation of direct reports’ evaluations and career development plans
    • Work with team leads to define best practices and deliver recommendations to Sr. Management

To perform effectively in this position, candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • The ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the clients’ organizations from the executive sponsor to IT project members
  • Proven strength in developing personal relationships and becoming a trusted business advisor to clients
  • Experience working and excelling in complex business environments and on high-pressure, fast-paced projects in a collaborative team setting
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
  • Superb leadership abilities
  • In depth knowledge of project implementation methodology(s)
  • Expertise in requirements gathering and documentation
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Unwavering focus on customer service
  • A college or advanced degree is preferred; must have high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 7-10 years leading large and complex, enterprise, software implementations, specifically in the Workforce Management or Human Capital Management space. At a minimum, candidates should have experience in four (or more) full life cycle implementations as a participating member of a project team
  • In-depth understanding of Relational Databases, SQL, Oracle, J2EE, Java, HTML, XML, PL/SQL, Networking, Server side operating platforms, and Web application development.
  • A member and participant of one or more workforce management organizations, such as APA, SHRM, HCI, industry specific groups, etc
  • In-depth experience with a number of Workforce Management or Human Capital Management solutions, such as Kronos, Infor, Workbrain, Workforce Software, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, Lawson, Timera, Datamatics, RedPrairie, Reflexis, Blue Cube, Aspect, Concerro, AtStaff, Blue Pumpkin, etc
  • Additional experience with HR, Payroll, Scheduling, and Analytic/Business Intelligence solutions is also required
