Description
The Director, Manufacturing Solutions will specialize in consulting sales within the manufacturing workforce management space across the United States and globally.
Position Summary:
The Director, Manufacturing Solutions exhibits a high level of sales professionalism and a strong work ethic as well as being highly motivated and detail-oriented. The Director, Manufacturing Solutions will be responsible for expanding the existing client base by managing all aspects of the sales process, as well as new business development. This will include supporting existing clients, identifying and securing new accounts and maintaining client relationships. Typical project sales range from $200,000 to $2M or above.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue to meet or exceed company goals for manufacturing vertical by adding new customers and expanding existing client revenues
- Work closely with VP, Sales & Marketing to understand the business models and fulfill sales support responsibilities
- Create and execute strategic sales plan with detailed account strategies for key prospect / accounts
- Work closely with inside sales and marketing teams to develop leads and opportunities
- Build relationships with WFM buyers and decision makers in multiple mid to large sized organizations in manufacturing vertical market.
- Lead or participate in Business Assessment process to help clients define their WFM strategy including creation of client deliverables such as presentations and documents.
- Utilize the defined implementation process to efficiently manage client expectations of system capabilities and process timelines.
- Oversee Quote to Order process, quality assurance of orders, and contract negotiation.
- Ensure seamless handoff to Workforce Insight consulting teams focusing on knowledge transfer of key client business issues.
- Have working knowledge of all software programs associated with daily administration functions; including maintenance of sales contact database (Salesforce.com).
- Network in the WFM community through participation in tradeshows, industry groups, web marketing, and vendor user groups, etc.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 7+ years' experience in business to business consulting services sales to manufacturers, with complex teams in a virtual environment. Workforce management sales experience is big plus. Strong communication skills, the ability to work with all levels of the organization, especially at the executive level, and knowledge of industry standard products, tools and rates are a must. This individual should also be high energy, independent, customer service oriented, and have a positive attitude. Travel will be required depending upon client location. BS/BA preferred.
