Larry Leibach is the Director of Retail Strategic Services with direct oversight in the provision of retail workforce management consulting initiatives. Larry guides the assessment and delivery of optimized scheduling and labor management solutions to address critical business challenges faced by retailers. All retail workforce management consultants report to Larry in the provision of business assessments, vendor selection, process re-engineering and solution optimization. Larry also oversees the Retail Alliance Program designed to expand and integrate retail solutions to improve customer service, conversion, labor productivity and compliance.
Recognized for leadership and innovation, Larry brings over 20 years of retail labor management expertise from the POS to the board room. Prior to joining Workforce Insight, Larry held a variety of leadership roles with Payless Shoe Source, culminating in his roles as Director of Retail Store Operations and Director of Profit Improvement.
His success has been marked by one of the most highly regarded optimized scheduling projects in the retail industry, impacting over 20,000 associates in 4,000 stores. Larry’s innovative programs have been repeatedly featured, modeled and praised for helping large retailers exceed sales forecasts, without increasing labor expense. He has also pioneered multiple profit improvement initiatives that directly increased store conversion and yielded significant EBIT improvement.
Larry is intimately familiar with business challenges faced by retailers. He has garnered recognition for the innovative launch of associate behavior programs, customer engagement initiatives, as well as the “Low and Out of Stock” Program still in use today by Target. His expertise and customer focus allow him to truly optimize the way retailers leverage scheduling, timekeeping and workforce analytics.
Larry earned his MBA from De Paul University in Illinois and has been repeatedly invited to present his retail workforce management expertise as session expert and guest speaker. He lives in Kansas with his wife and son, enjoys visits from his daughter in college, has more than 7 marathons under his belt.
